Open-Season! Opening To Love Again

Not every closed heart is closed because love was unwanted.

Sometimes it is just life doing what life does.
Rebuilding focus. Rewriting priorities. Teaching self-reliance until it becomes second nature.

And somewhere in that process, love stops feeling absent… and starts feeling unnecessary.

Not because it wasn’t beautiful.

But because it wasn’t available, and over time, the mind adjusts.

Independence becomes home.
Solitude becomes normal.
Peace becomes something carefully maintained on its own.

But here is the quiet truth that doesn’t always get spoken out loud:

Not needing love is not the same as being closed to it.

There is a difference between being guarded and being done.
Between healing and shutting the door without meaning to.

Life changes standards too.

No more confusion dressed up as chemistry.
No more effort that only shows up in the beginning.
No more emotional guessing games.

What stays desirable now is different.

Clarity. Consistency. Presence. Respect.

Something real enough to feel calm, not chaotic.

So the door isn’t forced open.

It simply isn’t locked the same way anymore.

And that changes everything.
