Choose one person you care about and take five quiet minutes to think about your connection.
Ask yourself:
What do I appreciate about this person?
Name something specific, even something small.
When do I feel most connected to them?
Maybe it’s during conversations, laughing together, helping each other or simply spending time in the same space.
What pattern between us is worth keeping?
Look for the good ones too: honesty, humour, checking in, encouragement, affection, forgiveness or showing up when it matters.
What could I bring a little more of?
More listening? Appreciation? Patience? Honesty? Quality time? A clearer boundary?
Then choose one tiny action and actually do it.
Send the thoughtful text. Give the compliment. Ask the question you've been meaning to ask. Put your phone away during the conversation. Say thank you for something you normally take for granted.
Connection isn't always built through enormous heart-to-hearts.
Quite often, it's built through small moments of genuine attention, repeated over time. 🌿💚
