🧠 Why Do I Feel Like This?
Sometimes a feeling shows up before you even know what caused it.
You might be annoyed at everyone, suddenly want to cry, feel like you're overthinking every tiny detail, or have absolutely no idea why you're in a bad mood. 😵💫
The tricky part? A feeling is real, but it isn't always the full story.
Here are some of the most common emotional experiences teens deal with and what might be happening underneath them.
😤 “Why Am I So Angry?”
Sometimes anger isn't really about the thing you're angry about.
You might snap because you're stressed, exhausted, embarrassed, hurt, overwhelmed, or feeling like nobody is listening to you.
Anger can be your brain's way of saying:
“Something isn't okay right now.” 🚨
Before you decide everyone around you is officially annoying, try asking:
-
What happened right before I got angry?
-
Am I actually angry, or am I hurt?
-
Have I been holding something in?
-
Am I tired, stressed, or overwhelmed?
