Finding My Voice

Your voice doesn’t have to be loud to count.

Sometimes you know exactly what you want to say.

Sometimes you can feel it, but the words just… aren’t there yet.

This is a space to figure them out.

You can use this page to notice what you’re feeling, work out what you really want to say, and practice putting it into words that feel like you.

There’s no perfect answer here.

You don’t have to sound confident.

You don’t even have to be ready to say it out loud.

Start with what’s true for you right now.

Right now, I wish I could say…

What’s making it hard to say…

Maybe you’re worried about their reaction. Maybe you don’t know how to explain it. Maybe you’re still figuring it out yourself.

What am I actually feeling…

(Forget what you should feel for a minute).

What’s really there?

What do I want them to understand…

If they remembered only one thing from what you said, what would you want it to be?

What do I need…

Maybe you need someone to listen.

Maybe you need some space.

Maybe you need help, an explanation, a change, or simply to be taken seriously.

Now say it in your own words…

(You don’t need the perfect speech).

Write what you would actually want to say if you knew you’d be heard.

Before I Say It…

I’m allowed to have feelings.

I’m allowed to ask questions.

I’m allowed to disagree respectfully.

I can take my time finding the words.

I can ask for help saying something that feels too hard to say alone.

One thing I want to remember…

Congratulations. You made it to the end. 🎉

No certificate. No prize.
Just the deeply satisfying knowledge that you survived another page of feelings.

10/10. Would emotionally process again.

Go drink some water. You’ve earned it. 🫡
