What Your Environment Does to Your Mind

Your surroundings are constantly giving your brain information, even when you aren't consciously paying attention.

Light, noise, clutter, temperature, colour and even the people around you can influence how easy it feels to focus, relax or think clearly.

A chaotic environment doesn't automatically create a chaotic mind, and a perfectly organised room won't magically solve your problems. But small environmental changes can make life feel a little easier.

Open the curtains.
Clear one small surface.
Put on music that changes the atmosphere.
Step outside for five minutes.
Bring in something that smells, looks or feels comforting.

Then notice what changes inside you.

Sometimes shifting your mind begins by shifting what surrounds it. 🌿

Change the space. Notice the shift.
